    FX-SVHO Taking in water.

    Hello guys,

My 2014 FX-SVHO is taking in water only while underway. Did a water pressure test on both engine and Intercooler systems and no leak. It is only when taken wide open.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks, Julio...

Driveshaft coupler? Could also be the rideplate/ intake grate inserts that are only leaking under pressure. Not uncommon.

I have removed and reinstalled the ride plate multiple times so I will check that for sure.

    Thanks!

    Hey Julio-
I am having the same problem as you. I replaced the spacers with the riva billett ones and used 5200 but water comes while riding just like you. I'm going to fill up the hull with water up to the steering cable and check for where the water is coming from. Talked with Jim and it could be coming from the transom area.

I just got an email from Jerry and he told me he's almost 100% sure it is the midshaft coupler inserts that pulled out the midwall. I will be checking it tomorrow and if that's what it is Jerry told me to drill the bolts right through the bulkhead and use longer bolts with nuts.

Will let you know tomorrow, Julio...

    Hey Julio-
I filled the ski with water this morning up to the tunnel and found a steady stream coming from out from where the drive shaft comes out of the hull and it is also dripping from between the ride plate and intake grate. The water test worked. Looks like mid-shaft bearing and transom.
