Ecu Ecm Mpem ??
Hey guys, could you give me a quick run down of the 3 parts; the difference between them, where they're located, and what they do?
The ECU is on the throttle body and controls fuel timing and RPM limit. That's all I know..

ECU/ECM same thing... that's your Engine Management center and security
MPEM is a box of basically fuses and relays... controls things with constant 12V...
they are slightly intermingled... meaning... for example you have two wires going to each spark plug or each fuel injector... these are engine management components. the trigger line comes from the ECU, but the constant 12V comes from the MPEM and it's fused... you constantly have 12V going to every coil and injector, but it only fires or sprays whent he ECU sends a low voltage current on the trigger line to complete the circuit
all accessories like bilges, gauges, VTS, depth, etc go thru the MPEM...
engine management trigger wires from from the ECU/ECM
ECU is located on Intake manifold near throttle body... the two A and B main wiring harness connectors
the MPEM is located in the front of the ski on RXPs and GTIs.... next to the battery on RXTs and GTXs
07 skis are different now
