    1997 Polaris Hurricane 700

    Hey all!

I just picked up a hurricane 700 and i cant find ANYTHING online about these...is there another name or abbreviation i should be looking for? Is it rare? Are they fun, reliable, fast, im trying to do some research on it before summer comes but nothing comes up at all. Any help would be awesome.

    Thanks all!

    Welcome to the Hulk

The Hurricane, from what I understand is a very different hull, Fun, for sure, they tend to porpoise at high speed and I believe they do mid 40s-lower 50s but, they turn VERY hard, so Fun is a dependant on what you like to do, just mess around? do you want the PWC to go somewhere? long rides? the Hurricane would not be a grand choice for a LONG cruise. you will get really beat up on it. To my knowledge they only went by Hurricane. or Cane. for quick talk.

Do you know the skis history? does it have the 700 update kit? click on the link in my signature links for more information about Polaris, and if this is your first ski, there is some GREAT information in there. and once again WELCOME to the Hulk!

Polaris made some very fast & tricky skis. The Hurricane & the Octane. One sit down , one stand up. Both are rare if in good condition. They do re sale well when made pristine. I have a friend who has both & still races them. He has not been beat on his Octane for five streight years running. I still see Hurricanes square off against Blasters all the time. Have fun. Welcome to the Hulk

Awesome ski, it is worth the work, I did one, a bunch of years ago, and stuck a 1200 In it. Pretty neat setup all in all, have fun with it, if you decide to sell it let me know, I'm kinda intrested in looking for one again.
