    FICHT diagnostics software?

Well I obtained the PODIAG software and posted it for download years ago, so hopefully that has helped a few folks out, but as you know the software while helpful is still very lacking.

I have seen the FICHT diagnostic software kits on ebay for under $100 and was wondering if anyone has tried to get it to work with our skis?
I know alot of the Johnson/Evinrude FICHT engines run off a similar EMM, and I would bet the communication protocols are the same. I would think the only difference would be the wire pinout / connector.

I've never used the Polaris Digital Wrench, but to my knowledge it is for all things Polaris, and the PWC's just kind of got lumped in there.

    Anyone care to chime in?

Thats an interesting thought. I think the CanDoo guys are working on something for us.

I'm sure their stuff will be a lot more costly, and while they are known for quality stuff, it probably won't be as functional as the manufacturers software.

    Select Monitor Software.

I use it on Polaris Snowmobiles that have EFI. I do not know if it would work but I would try it.

The three RS-232 diagnostic EMM connections for a Ficht engine are found on the 4-pin loop back diagnostic connector near the EMM. The fourth pin is used for the 45 volt White/Red wire, which is the only connection that actually 'loops' through the connector.

The other three pins are where the Polaris diagnostic software cable plugs into the ski.

I am sure I have posted the pinout on here somewhere

    What K said.
The pinouts are all over the board, and in the manual. You will not be able to just plug into the connector as I'm sure the connector on your diagnostic cable is different.
If it were me, I'd cut some spare wire and shove it into the connector as a test. If it worked, I'd source another connector and pin it out to have a proper plug and play solution.

Found out ive been hosting the Evinrude diag software since 2012 along with the PODIAG software and didnt even realize it. Tried it out today and the software sees the EMM but doesnt support it. Gives an error code about wrong engine family. This was on V4.6.
