    Riva Tubo Kit

    RY18040-TEK Engine Kit, Turbo; YAM FZR/s $4,995.00

Does anyeone have any pics and feedback of this kit installed on their ski? I would like to compare it to the H2O kit.

At the riva website it comes up if you search with the part # and add to cart. However it would not you purchase it at checkout. There is another online part store that you can add to cart and checkout and pay for the kit. I will give riva a call tomorrow.

Why are they not? Did they have problems during testing?

I spoke to Riva and they said due to the high cost of the turbo kit parts and the complexity of the install they decided not to make the kits for now. He did say they had built a couple of kits and tested them but that was all.

Looked like a great kit. A lot better priced than the ridiculous cost of the r&d kit.

That's just a bare kit for $5k, add the other items that you will need like R&D kit includes and you are easy over 10K.
And if you want to see it on paper it goes like this for Riva.
    vipec $2500
    1000cc injectors $515
    3 bar map sensor $150
    air intake $325
    water box $425
    fuel pressure reg $475
    Intercooler $1200
Those few parts are $5162 and you still don't have everything you need, and in return you get a kit that performs less than a supercharger setup.
Still looks like a good deal? Because a good turbo setup that really performs and kicks ass would cost you $20K to $30K
