    Mooring line connection

    Hi all,

I would like to be able to quickly clip a mooring line onto the mooring line "connector" or whatever the official name of it is.

I haven't found any clips that will fit inside the thing. Have tried all sorts including S-biners...

Anybody found a solution to this? What do you use?

I would rather avoid the hassle of trying to tie and untie knots at the dock.

Perhaps you can attach a short loop of rope or similar, leave it attached to the watercraft.

Then clip the dock line to the small rope loop.

There is a clip that are like you've shown but instead of being a round end, it's angled - to almost a 90 degree
angles at one end. I found this handy as normally the "S" end is too round to fit it some areas.

It's a very heavy duty clip - round at one end for a rope to be connected and the other end is almost a square.
    Sorry for bad description.

I can't find a pic of it but I got them at a Marina - stainless steel, anchored permanently to a piece of rope. I put
one at each end of the rope - one to seadoo, one to docking area.

It's like this but the top end is almost square - allowing easier connection to odd areas.

I use a bungy rope, with a carabiner style clip on one end. I normally attach the non clip end on the dock, then use the clip to make a loop. I then put the loop around the base of the handle bars. If I have to use the clip end on the dock side, I sometimes just hook the other end of the rope around the grip farthest away from the dock.

To confirm, you have used this to successfully attach to the PWC? Just clips right in there?
