Before you buy the rotax racing pump....

It's taken over 6 months for Jean to even accept that there might be a problem.

All 3 of our turbo skis with the rotax pump have the same issue with the offset of the prop seat.

Basically the prop is set too far back and require mods to even seat properly.

You'd hate to see how many emails it's been so far...

I'll keep this thread updated with resolve or not.

After a few more emails I got a pretty hand drawing of how to modify all my solas and skat props to suit the rotax jet pump.

Pretty disappointing when the solution is in the pump shaft and/or supplied stand offs.

So either skat and solas both have their measurements wrong or rotax...
You guys can work it out.

is that a twin prop in the pic? I have run the rotax pump for years on high powered turbo in a rxp ski with no problem at all with all kind of props. I am thinking that maybe there is an alignment issue with the drive shaft since you are running a twin prop which is heavier and takes more space up on the driveshaft. if the driveshaft is not a 100% aligned there will be more whipping force on the prop and short shaft causing it to snap. just a thought. do you run the two piece drive shaft or a single one?

It doesn't matter which prop brand, single or dual... All have the same issue with the shaft.

We made our own from chromoly to remedy this issue...

You can see here our changes.. Don't forget this pump is nothing like a 4tec pump in dimensions.

And now all props spin freely on the thread too.. Previously there was binding on the thread pitch.
