    Jims modded vx rideplate

    Hi guys,

I live in guernsey a small island off the uk, I'm looking at getting a new rideplate for my 2009 fzr, ride in salt water from flat calm to heavy chop, my question is who do I speak to about getting this rideplate as it seems that it's the plate everyone says is the one to get. If I'm wrong what plate should I get?

    Thanks

I have one of Jim's modded VX plate on my FZR with the mods in my sig. I gained over 3mph when switching from a stock rideplate to the modded VX. In my opinion, the modded vx plate handles really well (similar to stock) at anything below 60mph, above 60mph it is a bit looser than stock, but it also depends on how you ride and how you shim it.

Overall, I highly recommend the modded VX plate.

Considering your water conditions the best all around plate while maintaining your speed would be the 2014 FZR plate modded by Jim. I had the Modded VX plate and switched to the 14' plate. Night and day difference and could not be any happier. Check out the link below to once of our former Yamaha owners (went to the dark side-Sea-Doo) that did extensive testing with the VX and 14' plates:

You come buy it through the online store. Just indicate the plate you want and Jim's Mod. on it.

I run the 14' FZR plate with Jim's Magic on my 2009 FZR. Couldn't be happier with handling and stability.
