    2002 1100 STX DI spark plugs getting black .just had top end rebuilt

    This ski had 326 hours on the engine: so I had it rebuilt top end
    1. The Engine top end has new cylinders and rings replace at 326 hours which was just recently done
    this is my first time running the motor since rebuilt.
    2. The EMM was replaced and fuel injectors matched by Kawasaki at 250 hours.

    Prior to the rebuild the pugs always had the black coating , I thought for sure the engine rebuild would eliminate
    that issue. IT appears that is either natural for the 1100 STX DI or it is running rich even after the EMC was replaced and matched.

    Should this go back and have it checked again and will they be able to set the fuel settings from a computer.
    Any other options I should consider?

    Are you using the exact correct spark OEM plugs?

    Yes the plgs are OEM specific tot he ski. They were only used one hour so I just cleaned them up and put back in.

    Ran the ski out of the water to check the plugs and theyh were black on them again.

    What is the brand and part number on the spark plugs?

    How is it running? If its running well I wouldnt worry about it too much.
