    2012 Yamaha Fzr - Boost Lag/Loss Of Boost Problem

    I currently have a 2012 yamaha fzr, now this is whats going on hopefully you guys can help...

    My ski currently has a 16Ib setup in it. Since the setup it has this lag, what i mean by lag is on WOT it will rev to 7,500-7,800 hold for a few seconds then rev all the way to 8,500 doesnt always happen tho but most times it will do that

    Now the second problem. Just recently it looses boost not as in a boost leak as in broken clutchers. The clutchers are only 20hrs old. It will rev too 8,500 the first few time but when it warms up even more it will rev to about 7,500 and the supercharger stops making noise, if i drop the revs to 1,500-2,000 the supercharger starts up again

    i have changed chargers thinking it may be the shaft but still does the same problem unless its just my clutchers or the clutchers are on the way out???

    Main mods to the ski are:
    •ET 15.5Ib wheel
    •1000cc injectors
    •Riva Racing Intake
    •Watson Remap
    •Watson Cooler

    wow those are big injectors for that setup, could be starving for air

    The injector size shouldn't be a problem as long as the ECU map is built according to the injectors/mods

    How do you expect to tune it and make it run correctly without a AFR gauge. What's your fuel pressure set at? Did Watson tell you how to setup your ski? Did they calibrate it for 1000cc injectors. Almost all reflashes sold are setup to use stock injectors. It sounds like you are having a tuning issue but you will never know without a AFR guage.

    In one week I went from 12.1 afrs's to 11.1 due to weather change so its important to know where your AFRs are at to have your ski running its best. Be careful, you can hurt your motor.
