    thermostat question

I have a stage 2 riva kit on my 05 rxp. I was wondering if i would benefit from changing the stock thermostat to an aftermarket one, and if so which brand rotax racing or rivas. Thanks.

Both are good apparently its just Rotax is a bolt on and rivas you have to change it out....

I went with riva's because i did not know about Rotax bolt on one... still, only cost me $200 for rivas parts and installed to Rotax's $280...

Still yet to put in coolant tho... lol...

Having the cooler thermostat definately helps out with heat fade in the hot summer months. I use the RR thermo on my skis.

I would go with the RR one you dont have to tear your old one apart or anything just bolt the new one on. its a PITA as it is to take the old one out...

i left the stock thermostate on & took the money & bought the riva 4" cold air intake with the air being pulled from out side the ski u wont have the heat fade like u get with the riva 3'' air intake u'll get more out of the riva 4" intake than a rr thermostate

The only thing that worries me about the 4" intake in the back is that sometimes we get wave jumping, and im scared to suck water in. If I have the wrong view about this intake let me know.
