Correct Run In Procedure for New Ski

    Guys

I've bought a brand new ski for the first time and have heard different run in/ break in process.

I've bought a FX SVHO 2015 Cruiser in White

Whats the best way to break it in??

Also I've heard different quotes about running on regular and super unleaded please can you guys confirm this??

    Thanks
    Neil

Second the manual method which is 5 minutes at 2k rpm and 90 minutes at 5k. Can do whatever you want in those parameters like heat cycle or accel/decel, etc. or after that whatever you like, but Yamaha says that's all you need.

Follow the manual but with lots of variation, use a reasonable amount if trigger before stopping at the recommended rpm, you want to ensure enough combustion chamber pressure to force the rings against the cylinder hone to bed them in... else the bore may become glazed...

DONT delay above procedure once you pass the 2000 rpm time period, the hone does it's work very early in the life of the engine.

DONT use idle in lieu of 2000 rpm - bad for top end... I used no-wake mode, close enough...

DON'T delay hammering it once manual recommendations met, and I reckon they don't come really good until nearly twenty hours of hard running....
