    First Oil Change SVHO

I just did the first oil change on my 2015 FX SVHO Cruiser at 14.9 hours. Got a little excited and put a lot of time on it.

I only was able to take out about 3.75 quarts of oil.

I used a Northerntool electric pump, and tiled the trailer down, level, and up.

    Is this enough?

I replaced the filter (69J-13440-03) with a Napa Gold 1348.

Should I do it again like at 25 hours, or should I just run it up to 50?

Just depend on how you are using it. If using it in a lake for cruising, I guess it can run a little bit longer but if riding it like you stole it, then you should change oil more often

You should use the OEM filter on the white cruiser because it matches the machines colors. If you got a red cruiser just put any ole filter on it. lol

You can't change the oil too often, however you can change it not enough.

I would use a Yamaha OEM filter these people kill me on trying to save a buck on a filter on a 13k toy.....really? the cost of a OE filter over 40hr is not that expensive. Would you feed your dog or pet the cheapest food also?

Support the forum and get your oil filter here!

After your initial first time oil change My reccomendations are OEM filters only. Change oil every 25-30 hours changing filter every other oil change. Tommy Jordan

Thanks guys. Did not know you could keep the same filter for 2 oil changes, that's new to me. Any word on Rotella T6 Oil. Or is that not as good as well.

use Yamalube or Am soil marine you don't want friction modifiers in the oil

Here is the information on the AMSOIL*10w-40 Synthetic Marine Oil. It gets shipped to your front door.

Signing up as a preferred. I'll guess I'll switch the boat over as well.
