Rxp255 opas question
Hi guys, I know this is a stupid question but I really can't find the answers I'm looking for, what is OPAS? And what exactly does it do, I know it's those little fins at the rear of the ski and they help turning? So why do people block them off? Thanks in advance

They allow some steering without throttle as alot of noobs freak out. Chop gas and then try turn to get out of trouble.
Opas tends to slow your ski down a bit so people remove
Also they are ugly and require maintenance to keep working. If you dont need them then its all a bit of a waste

OPAS is "off power assisted steering". They are like training wheels for your craft. Their effect is minimal, but they can help in low speed manoeuvring.
They are often removed because in time it is not uncommon for one or both of the paddles to get stuck out which creates excess drag.

So no help turning at all on throttle? They are pretty much useless then?
