SVHO exhaust cam, Why si recommended change (for more speed)?

I saw in many Thread, replace the SVHO exhaust cam with a SHO cam. Why? what change? the p/n for the cam 2013 is 6S5-12181-10-00 and for 2014 (SVHO) 6ET-12181-00-00. Why Yamaha change? is the SHO is better for racing? degree?
The cam is close to $400 how the ski can improved (MPH, acceleration, etc). How difficult is the change?
Thanks in advance, I am in the process to reflash the ECU and like to know it is necessary replace the cam.

PM LugnutLS1. I believe he swapped the SHO cam into his SVHO.

It's not necessary to change the cam. It's an upgrade though.

if that was true, the world champion winning skis would've had SHO exhaust cams in them....... all the 14 and 15 SVHO motors that won titles last year have the stock SVHO cams in them

that true in the Thread: 2015 fx svho 85 mph , he mention the SHO cam, do you have any idea WHY?

Hands down, the SVHO stock cams are what you want to stay with. Don't waste your time or money on the SHO cam.

Sorry for the same STUPID question again, what it is the difference between Exhaust cams (SVHO vs SHO), the intake cams are the same. I like to go 82+ mph with stock charge, in the ocean with 75+F degree, the reason for the same stupid question again is because some conversation with a mechanic said that I can change the IC, reflash, intake grate, ride plate, prop, but is not posible the SVHO. I do not want to spend $400 for nothing. How the SVHO in the stock class in the Hydrodrags go to 85+ mph
