    Bench Power EMM ??

I'm trying to bench power an EMM so I can get it's history and injector specs from PODIAG. I'm hitting a wall and unable to communicate. My cable/software works fine on the ski.

I have a spare harness, and both ground terminals are connected directly to a battery, and I have the small red wire going to the positive battery post. I also have a wire coming off the positive battery to the white/red wire. This *should* be all I need right?

I also have a capacitor, and LR503 installed on this harness. I'm about to the point of cutting up the harness. I have 2 spare EMM / Injector sets sitting here that I'd like to test.

Im guessing that the EMM would get its actual ground through the stator harness,.

Nope. I figured it out. Needed to have the start stop switch connected and have the lanyard installed.
    Works great now.

Nope. A Ficht stator has zero connections to ground. All five Ficht stator coils are 'floating'.

Ficht EMM is grounded through a bunch of black wire harness wires connected to the huge 40-pin connector and to the 8-pin connector. Some of those Black wires end up connected to the engine block via ring terminals.
