    Riva Pro Series Sponsons

Hey guys, I like the look of the sponsons for a 260 and wondering if anyone knows if they will fit a GTR 215.

    Hello,
These sponsons don't fit with GTI/GTR hull, mounting holes are different. You must buy old Riva sponsons.
I have installed RXP260 sponsons on my GTI (new hull) but I had to drill new holes.

Was thinking of making custom backing plates that utilises GTR hull spacings and pairs up with 260 sponson spacings

Yes, I wanted to do this at the beginning but RXP260 backing plates have a complicated shape, they are inclined and the thickness is different between the front and rear. So I decided to drill new holes and use all PX parts

Bit of work on mill and easily knock up a set but decided to check cost of OEM units and not too badly priced. Think I will get a set of backing plates and redrill hull to suit.

What at is best method to fill up original holes in hull? Epoxy?

Yes, OEM units are cheap. I have used silicone sealant (mastic) for marine use.
