    R4 ordered

    I am upgrading my r3 ecu to a r4 ecu also ordered a et18 wheel uprated s/c shaft and rrfpr. already done full internals, cp pistons molner rods titanium springs riva gasket, fizzle i.c and hks b.o.v cooling upgrades and water cooled s/c housing. 160 mm 12 vain pump and skat 160 prop and stainless liner also fitted. bored out nozzle and cone and lucky 13 adjustable cone also fitted. I have a adjustable fuel tuner as well if I need it. fitted a mtx-l afr kit also last week to monitor afr's with the new wheel and ecu when it arrives. hoping to get it into the mid 80's. scoop grate ride plate pump seal kit also done and am getting worx sponons at end of month.clutch damping gear and new 2013 clutch also fitted last year. have I missed anything.

    do a 4" intake it will pull a lot of air, outside air preferably from what others are doing

    I am going do some hull vents. have a few ideas in my head to add ventilation. and then see how it performs.

    Im running same set up plus fzr shvo jims cut plate and i did 86mph with 15/21 160mm pump & with my 155mm solas prop 90mph.

    Mid 80's? If tuned correctly you should be all over high 80's. Get your rev. limit set for 9200 rpm and shoot for 9,000. Hang on buddy.

    Is everyone able to run their R4 flash at high boost & rpm's (20#'s @ 9k) on striaght 93oct, or having to do a race fuel mix to be safe?

    the info says good for 91 octane in the uk we have 97 octane and 99 octane so im more than safe on pump gas. I was in the low 80's with 155 prop on r3. so as long as it improves on that with the r4 im going to be more than happy. if it is in the high 80's im going to be buzzing like a rat on crack.

    what prop would be the best starting point for a setup like this on a 155 pump, something like a YS-DF 15/22 If looking to swing it to 9000rpm? or go all out with the 17/21 Honda prop converted to yamaha?
