    Single layer head gasket

When going to a single layer head gasket set up on a 1200, you use only the top or bottom layer of the stock gasket, correct? I am going to do a little bit of stuff to my wifes ski trying to get it a little faster without spending a bunch of money. It currently has the Riva heads on it and the compression is only about 143 psi in all 3 holes.

Correct. Smear a little water proof grease on it. Both of my skis run 1 layer. No problems

    Duke,

You had no problems untill you meet Team Orlando.

Then, you blew that thing up!

If you go to the water and run 1300 ft looking for a gps number than one gasket is NO PROBLEM!

If you run wide open for 50miles of a 75 mile run. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A PROBLEM!

Pick what you do. If you want a tighter squish, cut your cylinders.

    Otherwise, GOVERN YOURSELF ACCORDINGLY.
