FZ SVHO '14 vs '15
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. I searched and searched.
My wife is trading in her '13 RXP-X for a FZR. Can get a great deal on a '14 but before we do the deal are there any functional or mechanical differences between the '14 and '15? Obviously there are color and graphic changes and she actually likes the '14 over the red '15.

Pretty much The same Ski .. The only difference is the new nano hull supposedly even lighter about 35lbs less on the FZ skis!! If you can get a great deal on the 14 jump on it in my opinion !

I believe the only difference is the 15 fzr has the nano excel 2 hull.

I have had no problem with my '10 nano hull so i don't much are about that. Plus 35lbs might make it a little better in the chop right.

Faster and more nimble Ie she's going stomp one in ya. Lol.
Wonder if they are still doing the BS speed limiter on the 15's?

We have the opportunity to ride pretty much every ski for every year. Believe it or not she finds the Ultra to be very nimble for its size and yet almost without a doubt the best ski in rough water. There is probably a 200lb difference between the FZ and the Ultra but the added weight is not as significant as it seems at least in her eyes. Gotta keep in mind...she is not a wrench head like many of us on GH. All we will do is the SCOM and maybe sponsons. She rides a lot, rides hard and rides in a broad variety of circumstances from twisty rivers and buoy course to the Bahamas. She rode her RXP-X to Grand Bahama and on to Abacos no problem.

Look into the R&D Sponsons. I have them on my FZ and love them in the turns and straight line stability. All around a great sponson but a wee bit heavier than Riva.

The 2014 supercharger is better. Hear the shaft gear on the 2015 is pressed on instead of being held on by a nut.

Honestly the stock sponsons work well for OEM parts.
