    Fzr steering column please help

    Please help,

    who on here owns either a 2013-2014-2015 fzr, I want to replace the bumper strips all round on my 2009 fzr from grey to black like on the 2013 onwards but need to know if the plastic that I'd call the steering column is it grey or black on the 2013 onwards??

    Yes it is black. The center pad is still gray though. I just did this to my 2009 FZS.

    I also done the change from grey to black way better look!
    Before i changed to aftermarket bars i painted my factory steering plastics 2k Gloss black it held up really well no flaking/chipping, Also done the same with the plastics under the rear seat

    If you don't want to buy new pieces, alcohol wipe and spraying with flat black PlastiDip looks miraculous.

    Doesn't plasti dip come off easy? Or knock against something chip and flake??

    I would not use it on the bumper trim but the steering trim, knee trim and rear grab rails are ok. It's actually very durable if you REALLY clean the parts good with a degreaser and denatured alcohol first.
