Thread: cavertation..

    cavertation..

    hi guys ive got a 2006 rxp.. I have cavertation on start up then it goes. ive replaced the pump shoe but its still there. im not sure of the pitch of the impeller so im putting in a 15/19.. what else can it be ??? please help..

    Most likely your wear ring and carbon seal need to be replaced. That bellow on the carbon seal looses tension over time. Here are the parts you will want to replace. Items 32, 33, 31, 36 and 37 on this page of the forums store

    ive done the wear ring thast new.. the impeller is a real good fit , its tight in the ring.. could the impeller be under pitched causing it.. thx

    Like Jerry said, it could also be the carbon seal and bellows. If its sucking air there, it will cause severe cavitation.

    I had the same issue!!!!!! I replaced my pump seal with a R&D seal and put in a ss wearing in and have no problems at all now.. My old pump seal that I replaced twice with new kept on failing which is why I went with the R&D seal.
