Lightbulb My GPR Sank 2 miles off shore!

Yep you read it right. Buddy and I took off to miami searching for some big waves to hit. Rode out about 2 miles off shore with about 7 foot swells. We were having a great time getting some big air. Decided to stop and just chat on the water for about 20 min. Wave side swiped me off my ski, no big deal laughed about it and as i went to hop back on i noticed i couldn't??? ski kept drooping in the rear. I told my buddy "YO THIS THING IS SINKING!!!!" he replied "nah its just the foot wells filled with water"..... about 15 seconds later the only thing sticking out of the water was about a foot of the nose. Panic is an understatementas to what i was feeling. At one point i said well if she goes completely under im grabbing my Phone and wallet and saying goodbye. Eventually we tied a rope to the front of her and fortunately got it back to the ramp. drained her completely pulled the plugs and started getting the water out of the motor. as i was working on the ski i noticed the waterbox clamp/hose came off the stinger..... guessing from landing rough on one of the jumps took it off. Got her running about 30min later and rode/jumped for another 2 hours after... So started bad but ended sweet. the ski is currently at home on the trailer like nothing ever happened. Thanks to my Buddy he saved my ass and the ski.

That is really amazing ! You were just about to give a salute and hop on your buddy's ski for the long ride in. Something told you just maybe you could save her and bring her back to life LOL

Nice! Sounds like most of the Styrofoam was still onboard the ski. Without it they sink for sure!
