1999 Kawi 750Sxi Pro -- cracked exhaust fixable or replacements?

Hey guys, looking for some help bought a 1999 Kawi 750sxi pro last summer, rode all summer great then had a major issue found a very large crack in the exhaust. JB welded it, with a rubber jacket and banding to get through the last weekend of summer now looking at fixing. Its an R&D pipe, so i called them and they said they haven't made part for this ski in over 10 years. Looking for a replacement part if it exists? Going to get my brother to weld this piece back solid but i don't have faith it will last, what other options are out there?

Not sure really sure what the rest of the ski's parts are but i've included pictures.Click image for larger version.

That is a pretty bad crack.....

A weld "may" hold. Problem is the chamber is not properly supported. (poor design) and it will most likely happen again, maybe even in another spot.

Try finding a "factory pipe" brand pipe. Get the Limited or "wet" pipe.

Or do I need the whole pipe system?

That head pipe works ONLY with the factory pipe system. You need the complete pipe assy / system.

Weld the crack, plate over the cracked area to reinforce, build a bracket to support that section of pipe better.

I agree and reason is everything is already tuned for that system. Welding will be fine just make sure all is done in stainless and find a location for a mount to support the pipe to the engine.
