    Air intake into the hull

    Hi Guys

Just wondering if any of you have done a custom diy air induction allowing fresh cool air into your hull while riding? I have a 4 inch air induction kit on my 2013 rxpx and was thinking of ways to feed cold air to the induction kit. Anyone done their own mods like this before?

I hooked the stock tubing directly to my 4 inch intake (disclaimer, only use if you're in smooth water) you will pick up ~150ish rpm by doing this. I also can remove it in a matter of 15 seconds and put my filter back on if need be.

I thought of doing the same Branden except put a 90degree elbow to the inlet where the vent is to direct air into the hull and run the inner tube closer to my filter but still not to close just in case water gets inside the tube when hitting a wave.

Hey Andy, Did you find much improvement with the performance with your set up? With he vent at the back do you get much water in the hull or do you mainly ride In lakes not ocean?

I never ride in salt water.

Yes there was a huge improvement in the mid range. At two sec out of the hole, the ski is putting out close to 30 HP more, compared to stock.

    Hey Andy
Did you do any vent work at the front to get fresh cool air in the hull??

The left air intake tube is no longer connected to the intake port. On the right side the inlet tube is about 1/2 the normal length. I have also added a single 2 1/2" inlet in the rear of the ski. See above links.
