Thread: Impeller question

A friend has a 2011 fx sho with minor mods.
ribbon delete, riva power filter, riva blow off valve, r&d grate, pump seal kit.
just wondering what brand and pitch impeller to go with.

before i went to town on mods i ran a skat swirl 13/21 made good speed with stock boost, very punchy and didn't cavitate.
i also had a vetch 2 flash but there wasn't much in it from stock tune until i put a lb wheel in
It was an awesome prop with a low boost wheel which i dare say he will step unto next. Nobody stays with the "basics" once the bugs bitten

skat 13/21 and see how it goes as you add boost you can re pitch.

On my 2009 FZR, the Skat 13/20 works great and turns right around 7650rpm on an average day with the mods in my sig. Since the SHO has some differences from the FZ (hull and some pump components), you might not hit the nail right on the head the first time around with a Skat-- probably will require some tweaking.

My vote is the Skat 13/21 also
13/21 Skat Trak Swirl 155mm Impeller Yamaha Waverunner
This is the new and improved Skat Trak impeller with splined front snout. Will require the new Skat Trak splined impeller tool with part number...
