    Lucky 13 Pump Cone Info

I realize every ski will vary depending on mods but I would like to hear from those that have used the Lucky 13 adjustable cone.

    1) What RPM difference do you see between no spacers and all included spacers?
    2) Did the cone lower your peak RPM without any spacers? (compared to stock) (they suggest running a larger nozzle with the L13)

I'm trying to decide if I want to have a bored larger venturi for summer and stock (smaller) venturi for winter (instead of this cone). From what I heard, the L13 doesn't offer a wide enough spread that I'm after (200-250rpm). I'm not a fan of adding too many spacers (more than it comes with) due to excess pressure post prop. I guess I could just keep two props since its cheaper than the cone. But I like how simple it is to adjust cone.

    Thanks

I saw about a 200 rpm drop just putting the L13 cone on. Rpm change per mm of spacer varies with each setup, you have to find the sweet spot. But on average I saw 20-40rpm difference per 2mm.

Was that with your stock nozzle or did you change the nozzle size also?

San, I have tested this cone on numerous skis, even my big ass Seadoo Challenger. I knew ahead of time that it was going to drop the rpm so at the same time I installed a larger venturi (2008 X nozzle) and every single time I was either up rpm and speed, or same rpm but gained speed. the holeshot seriously improved as well. Its definitely worth every penny.

I have one and right now the plan is to start with no spacers and my stock nozzle, see where the rpms are, then bore the nozzle to get rpms where I want them.

    Great info guys!!

Chris, is that 2008 venturi 87mm? (from a TX I assume)

Troy, sounds like a good plan, keep us informed.

I would actually like it to drop my RPM (without spacers) because I will want them lower when the bigger SC goes in. I'm already 9100 on cold days...and when I mean cold...I mean really cold like 70F!
