    Help me finish my Gtx 255 iS 2009.

    Greetings to everybody.
    This winter i decided to increase the holeshot of my 2009 Gtx 255 iS along with some reliability issues. The goal is to be fully reliable as i use my sea doo in the ocean, 2 up, and for long distances. It has 143 hours and works like a charm.

    Mods so far are:

    -Rotax Racing Light Weight Crank Gear
    -Rotax Racing Sea Doo Lightened Camshaft Sprocket
    - rotax thermostat
    - riva gen 3 intercooler
    - riva power filter kit
    - riva IC tube kit
    - riva intake manifold upgrade kit
    - Vtech stage 1 at 8350 rpms
    - rhaas engine mounts
    - R & D Ultimate Sea-Doo Pump Seal
    - carbon ring along with speedfreaks
    - rear exhaust taken off and replaced by an inox tube.

    I gained a lot better revving but from standstill when i pin the throttle i hit 6-7 rev limiters! (At 8350rpms).
    I have ordered the 2011 oem reduction nozzle as Riva suggests (mine is 87mm while 2011 ones are 83.5 just like the Riva units) and i do not know what impeller to choose.
    Riva suggests a 15/19r at stage 2 while at stage 1 they suggest the oem....but since i hit so many rev limiters i do not know what to choose!

    Oem the ski measured with Garmin gps would go 66.,7 miles, while with the mods done it went 68.7. The big difference is how it revs! While top speed is not important i need to eliminate hitting so many rev limits from standstill.

    I will also be changing the oem wear ring.

    So what do u suggest guys? Damn i can not afford buying 2-3 props!

    I had an OEM ware ring in my rxtx with tight clearance and a stock prop . it had bad cavitation , I put a new oem bellows and carbon seal at 148hrs , still cavitation ,so I put in a 15/20 solas and a solas stainless ware ring . the ski is stock . the revs went from 8180 down to 7900 @ 65mph in the salt . with NO cavitation ....

    The wear ring will of course be changed, but i am not putting a stainless one as all it takes is a small rock to ruin the fun.
    Anyone with a setup like mine that wants to point out which type of prop to test...?

    I suggest you sould trade your ski with an rxp .i know a guy that is selling one in excellent condition nearby...

    Interesting findings...
    Went out on a ride with 7 mates yesterday...it was freezing cold...at 6 celcious at 11:30 am!
    Sea was excellent with a temp of 8-10 celcious.
    My jet would go 113km (not gps measured) with a Scoop (intake grate)from a rxt260rs while with mine oem it would go 115km.
    The scoop from the rs would make me turn a lot easier...way more fun to turn! But the oem provides better stability (and a better top speed).
    I will put a reduction nozzle this week, a new wear ring and i ll measure once more.
    The way it revs is superb...all my mates liked it.
    I will also buy a 15/21a Solas , as this is the impeller SOLAS suggested i should buy...lets see...
