    Massachusetts Repair Shops

I just purchased a 2008 Ultra 250X with <20hrs. I want to do the bearing upgrade and a few other recommended mods but I am struggling finding a dealer with a service department that knows what I am talking about. Anyone have any suggestions? I live in central mass, but would travel to find the right shop. Thanks.

The dealer I use in Texas had no idea what I was talking about either. I emailed a copy of the link from this site that has pictures. When the service tech looked at the photos with instructions he then understood what to do. I also ordered all the parts ahead of time. They are listed with photos too. One of the issues I have is you can explain this to a service tech and then he gives the work order to the technician and they don't always explain exactly what you asked for.
Look for Meangreenman...... His post has pictures and part numbers that worked for me.

you will seldom find help for mods at dealerships. Cultivate the dealer closest to your home, that will pay off in the long run. If you have to school em..why drive hours?

When you bring your ski in the parts list and pictures along with some step by steps will help you get what you want done correctly.

Be very very specific. Make it hard for them to screw it up.

Better yet find a good independent.
