Ok if its not clutch it maybe in the tune
my mate has the same problem with his fz its an ET18 with watson stg4 flash tune and every now and again it will run like theres no boost then all of a sudden bang its off like a rocket again. Again not sure why or what causes it. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the problem.

Check obvious first. Fuel pump (check pressure), loose battery connection, BOV if you have one or sc clutch (check boost).

more than likely air loss if your running a et18 it needs a lot of air, try it with the seat off.
