    Scom vs ecu?

Hi there, here in Sweden we got 2 main things we can do to get rid of the speedlimiter. Either the scom (riva or r&d) or ecu tuning that gives you 325hp and no speedlimiter.

My question: is it safe to go with the ecu, i mean the engine already have massive 300hp / 1,5l.

    Is it like playing roulette?

Im thankful for all inputs and ideas!

Rec riding or racing? An SCOM will get you the same speed. A reflash will help acceleration a lot. So a reflash will help performance a lot but will also hurt reliability more than an SCOM. Decide what will work best for your riding needs(or wants)

Hi may I ask who gives your ECU 325 hp,is that 88 Motorsports Sammy Pajalin ?

Theres always a risk when you push this engine and run 8000 + rpms for long periods and distance at a high rate of speed ,most have had no issues but some haven't been so lucky, there's no question you must run a minimum 93oct or the European equivalent ..

Remember there's no AFR gauge or knock sensor (except the new 310 )on these skis unless you install one..

If you are not Racing, you are better off leaving the Ski the way it is. Like Jet Dave says, 8,000+ RPM is twisting the engine . . . some are lucky and some are not (have personally seen both). JB

Maybe go with the scom then, R&Ds model looks alot more factory, but cant find any instructions, maybe it

    Hello guys from france !

The scom ( riva or r d) is the same between 310 and 300 ?

Last year i though that scom don't work on the 300 ? Ecu tuning isn't the only solution ?

    thanks

I installed my R&D SCOM today. It was easy.. It came with clean concise instructions with clear pictures. I am a dummy and I pulled it off just fine hahaha
