Ultra 150 cracked water rail
Was looking for a double trailer for my 2 seadoos and ran across 2 ultra 150's on a double trailer for a decent deal so I picked them both up. Was really just interested in the trailer so I didn't check over the ski that's running. The other ski has everything there, just missing the engine. Anyways, figured it wouldn't hurt to have an extra ski for friends to ride or me to mess around on so I started messing around with it today and did a compression check and all 3 were 130psi across the board. Fires right up, sounds good, idles good and revs good.
I started it, cut on the water hose then noticed some water continuing to leak inside the hull after I cut the hose off and shut off the ski. After feeling around I found where it was coming from and it is on the water rail. A hole in the corner of the water rail about the size of a pencil. Was this a common problem? I don't see how it would have happened? I ordered a new one and will swap out when it comes in but wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen to them or know why it would happen.

Are you referring to the 'water pipe' (part number 39192-3701) that attaches to each cylinder? Not common, but several have experienced corrosion on that part.
