Oooops! Too many PWC docks on my dock!

It never occurred to me there would be a limit, as long as they were properly attached.

    BUT NO!

The Lake Lanier shoreline management says no more than 2 PWC 'hoists' outside the slip.

    So options...
    -buy a 2-slip dock...not gonna happen.
-sell the shoreport and put the third ski on a trailer (most likely)
-see if a neighbor will let me bolt the third to their dock
    -add a slip

I think this rule comes from before the float-style PWC docks. I could understand limiting the number of lifters that actually burden the dock, doesn't make sense for this type.

Perhaps you could investigate the intention and wording of the actual rule.

And inquire as to how the rule might be updated to reflect the different methods now available for PWC 'docking'

    Appendix F

    "15.3.6 Boat Hoists

Boat slips may contain floating or suspended hoists. Suspended boat hoists are onlypermitted when the applicant submits certified engineering drawings that guarantee the dockand lift capacity for the vessel being stored. Floating boatlifts must be attached to thesubstructure. All hoists and lifts must be constructed within the slip area with the exceptionof personal watercraft (PWC) floating hoist or lifts that allow the PWC to rest on thedock. A maximum of two hoists for PWC use outside of the slip may be authorized"

Perhaps your argument lies within the fact that the PWC does not rest on the dock, if this is indeed true......?
