Hi how long can you leave a Rxp with open loop fitted running on the hose when flushing Tia

same as with a closed loop since there's still nothing cooling down the carbon seal. I run mine for 1 minute for an initial flush then another minute with salt away.

I believe they say no more than 3 minutes.

BRP officially says "never run engine longer than 2-minutes"..... Personally, 1-minute is the MAX I would every suggest. Ideally, you will back the ski in a canal/lake and run on trailer, this is what I do after every ocean ride.

yeah you wasted the head gasket and are pushing oil into your coolant passages. If you drain the coolant, remove the head coolant hose, put pressure to the cylinders and listen to the coolant hole in the head you'll hear hissing.

Wow I don't think I've ever heard of those blowing out. Glad you fixed it.
