    No need to remove plate..

Yes only 6 bolts, might be a little salt build up unless a previous owner filled the pump shoe which is underneath the grate with silicone (which is what I do)or mistakenly 5200!

Take a propane torch or much safer a heat gun and blow it on the metal area where the 4 bolts are for a minute or two ,keep it away from the black hull especially a propane torch, get a hold of a pull bar of some kind and hook it on the grate bars and tap down the other end with a hammer..

Can't see why it won't come out now..

Thank you! Got alot of corrosion on the grate (the plate and pump is brand new) seems stuck with the pump shoe, what happens if i unbolt the 4 bolts to the pump shoe? Can i get them both outh witout removing the plate?

When you say the " pump is brand new" do mean the pump shoe or the pump that holds the impeller ?

Theres no reason why that grate shouldn't come out on its own,it's sits on its own on top of the pump shoe cavity ,it's either corrosion of some adhesive holding it on,try some heat and a little muscle first..

    Just curious..

Why are you changing the Stock Intake Grate? There's been lots of discussion as which is better brand or original rideplate , intake grate or impeller to use ,every Ultra owner has their favorite combinations and the differences are only slightly measurable with little gain or loss in speed /hook up and the type of water you ride in..

But most might agree for rough water riding the stock intake grate has that great "hook up" effect that keeps you "vacuumed" to the water better than an other ski ...

And that's the beauty of the Ultra 300/310 that's what she was made to do

If its holed i would replace it. I would hate to hear you come back here saying a blade broke off and your prop swallowed it.
