Camping on small island in middle of lake: Gear hauling question
We are going to be selling our 32' camper this year and tent camping on a little island in the middle of our favorite lake. We will be hauling gear to the island with our skis and the distance is about 2 miles or less. I have towed some light gear behind the ski with a cheapo 3 person Walmart raft in times past but it is sketchy.
We will be hauling a Honda Eu2000i generator, firewood, 2 bedroom tent and all other necessary camping gear so probably 500lbs all in all. Since I will have a 4 place trailer this year and only 3 skis, I was looking to put something in the 4th slot that we can use as a tow sled and that was durable (non inflatable). I was thinking about a 2 man sport fishing rig (without the chairs) or a small dingy like the one pictured below.
Have any of you done similar and if so, what are you using to get your gear to your site?

A Kawi could easily haul all of that
