Thumbs up GoPro vid on my VXR today...near 70mph on GPS...

Used my new mount on the VXR today. I think I got some good footage here...Right near 70mph on the GPS today and a little winter Florida riding. You can hear the Riva thru hull exhaust...

Very very slick I have a 2014 Red VXR. I would love to hear how the mods are on yours. Been thinking of the Thru Hull and Waterbox myself.

Top end I've only picked up 2-3mph on my GPS with all the mods...The BIGGEST difference is launch out of the hole and mid range acceleration pulls a lot harder. Aquavein intake grate added a LOT of stability in the chop and the sponsons really did improve the way it cuts into a turn. You best have your feet planted and a firm grip on the handlebars when you rip a turn on my ski right now...It's shocked me a few times. It's not the fastest ski out there but it's an all around blast to ride with my current mods. I plan on doing some tuning on it very soon to kick it up a notch.

Good thing you are in Florida. Those things suck in cold water on a windy day. Talk about getting a cold shower.

I don't mind the pisser when its sunny and 90, but when riding with a group and its windy and cool it SUCKS...
Hell riding by yourself in a slow speed zone when its cold and windy with the wind at your back really sucks.

So is it mounted to the ski or did you mount the camera to you?

Its the GoPro suction cup mount and its on the ski. I've used the strap mount on my head before and it didn't come out good. Mounting directly to the ski is best. I'm amazed at how solid the mount is too...pretty sure I could stick it down near the waterline and not worry about it getting knocked off.
