Anyone retrofit New Sponsons over older one?

If anyone has done it please give any and all input with any pictures. Please.

Im talking about the newer X style Sponsons on the older 06-to previous sponsons.

They were on the ski when I bought it but I have had them off and looks like it was a direct fit.

This is what I would like to know. I have heard it goes both ways. So I would love to here from someone that knows. Does the newer backing plate fit in the same holes as the regular sponsons. Like a direct fit like R&D and RIva or do the holes for the backing plates need to be adjusted.

It looks like no holes were changed to be sure later I can measure the bolt spacing and let you know.

Two rear holes about 2-3/4 apart the rest 5-3/8 apart center to center with a tape but close 5 bolt holes. this is the backing plate mounted to hull. Hope this helps

If you have an early rxp you have the older style sponson inserts

To swap to the newer style you need to get a set
    Pull off your sponsons
    Unbolt and remove inserts
    Clean face of hull
Drill to suit newer inserts (larger)
Bolt and sealant new inserts in with flat sides on tob and bottom
    Allow to set

    Then install newer sponsons

The bolt holes have the same locations

I just measured mine and they are not the same. SO Im guessing I would have to drill and retrofit.
