    Winter Wonderland!

I was in the right place and time again today. While I was taking pictures of pipers this afternoon along my shoreline in Poquoson when a Coopers Hawk flew right past me and dive bombed the Pipers. I managed several shots before he flew back past me empty clawed. Here is one of them.

    There were hundreds of Pipers.

    Piper Worm Tug Of War!

    Slurping up a worm.

    Looking for lunch.

"Winter Wonderland" View from my shoreline.

Two year old Bald Eagle in my yard.

    Some cold looking ducks.

Looked like Icebergs at low tide.

Caught this goose coming in for a landing.

It's a Bird! It's a Plane! No It's a Bird and a plane! Bald Eagle and plane way up in the sky over my yard.

Mars, Venus and the Crescent Moon setting over my front yard the other night.

Hi Brian, love your pics. I am a lucky guy ... I located an Eagles nest just about 70 yards from my house. I saw birds coming & going and I thought it was vultures. But when I saw the movement today. I Noticed two large bald eagles and two brown eagles they were all together in this clump of fallen trees & brush. I have observing them now for over a few hours. Very cool. I wish I had a telephoto camera.

Nice shot of the hawk!!! Pretty neat to being able to witness that part of the food chain first hand. Got to witness multiple Red Tailed Hawks dive bombing thru a stream of Mexican Free tailed bats (estimated colony of 5 million) in Texas a few years ago near Garner State Park.
