Turning a PWC hull into a hydro-trailer: Questions

So I am brainstorming over what to use for my hydro trailer to haul camping gear to an island that we frequent and I am down to 3 options.

Edit: I currently have a 4 place trailer with an empty space available so one of these 3 options works best.

    1. The lower hull from a Yamaha FX SHO (will sit nicely on my trailer and match my skis)
    2. 10' aluminum jon boat (400lb capacity limit is pushing it)
    3. 2 man plastic sport fishing boat. (Wont fit on trailer as nicely as I woudl like)

Right away the FX hull sounds more interesting but my concern is that once I remove the top half of the hull, the lower "V" portion will not sit correctly in the water on it's own. It will have a car battery, Honda EU2000i generator, small porta-potty, large tent, firewood, food, Yeti Tundra 75 and other misc camping gear totaling about 350-400lbs.

Does anyone have experience, thoughts or opinions?

I want this: ~~~~~~▼~~~~~~ when the hull is on the water.

Not this: ~~~~~~►~~~~~~ because there isn't enough weight to keep it righted.

It was a serious suggestion. Stop being a dick.

There are some things a boat is just better for than a PWC

I don't even know what to say to you any more. Your lack of class on this site is beyond words. Enjoy your stay here on Greenhulk. I have a feeling it might not last too long.

It's ok to make a mistake by not reading the thread entirely before responding. I have done it. We have probably all done it at some point. Calm down, sweet cheeks. It was just comical that you linked me to a trailer that has absolutely nothing to do with what I asked. You can barely fit a 12 pack in the Hydro Trailer.

Sounds like you really do need a boat, like Bryan suggested. Even if it's just a hull, you should be able to tow it. He was really trying to help, not take shots at you.
