2004 RXP vs. 2005 RXP
Hey guys, I was just wondering what the differences are between the 2004 and 2005 RXP's. I have been looking around to buy an '05 RXP because I did not want to wait for the '06's to come out....but a dealer nearby gave me a killer deal on a left over '04. I bought the 04 RXP Green/black for 8000 plus 500 for the trailer and he threw in a cover and did the dealer prep for free. I was pretty happy. The best deal I could get on an '05 with a trailer and cover was 10,200. So I was just wondering if there was anything that was drastically changed between the 04 and 05. Thanks guys!

cool, I figure I will put on different sponsons when I do the Riva Stage 1 kit. The green is a lot better than the 05 red imo. I really like the new 06 red/black, but Im not waiting. As soon as the weather is consitantly over 55 degrees here in ny....im on the lake! lol

I would NOT jump on the Riva bandwagon right off the bat, there is alot of things that are a waste of $$$. talk to Jerry first

First fig out what will be the main purpose of the craft and what you want
it to do and how you want it to perform.

The Riva stage 1 is a good kit and gives you everything needed to make a good start. The air intake can greatly be improved by extending the tube out with some 4" hose. Do a search for "air intake mod" and you will see what many of the members have done. Also, the wedge that comes with the kit is a total waste of money if you ride in anything other than flat water.

Im basically just looking for some parts that will boost me over 70mph. The only thing I'm going to do with the ski is run it on the lake and whip my friends' butts. Nothing real serious, I'd like to keep the intake as safe as possible (worried about sucking water), but I'm willing to go with the Riva intake. Any suggestions would be appreciated on what you guys think. Basically just modding the ski to have fun with it.
