    Recommended RPM/Speed limiter modules

I'm buying a 2015 FZR to replace my Ultra 250. Everything I read implies the manufactures have held speed down by limiters. Can someone suggest the best unit to get to buy pass this. I know of two that don't require any reprogramming of the ECU.
    Thanks

The Riva unit or an r1 reflash

I doubt R&D released tunes for the 2015 already.

I do not see why not, the FZ 15's are the same as the 14's as far as engine and ecu. Only changes were hull composition and paint/graphics.

Don't waste your $ on a speed limiter bypass which is only worth 2-3 mph . Spend the extra $ and get a reflash to your ecu. Tommy Jordan

Unless you really are worried about warranty I would go reflash as the speed limiter bypass will not remove the boost limiter on the SVHO's.

I agree with this, but from what I have read about the 2015 models, you would need supporting mods to run a reflash (especially engine cooling). Check out this thread here: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...hlight=reflash

Glen at R&D said the 15's FZR ECU were different and there still working on reflashes.

You'll get more than 2-3 mph on the SVHO with the Riva SCOM. Stock the SVHO settles back down to around 67 mph. With the SCOM you can get 71-72 MPH no problem. 4-5 mph gain for $240 is pretty cheap speed.

I will agree with you that a reflash will give you more power. But, you'll have to at least upgrade the cooling system. Plus, R&D is still struggling with the reflash for the 2015 ECU. IMO, If you want to keep the ECU stock, the SCOM is your best choice. Plus, keeping the ECU stock, you can ride wide open all day long & not worry about burning down your motor. Just my 2 cents.....
