    #2 Project - 96 SL900 to 1200

    I've had this ski for 15yrs bought it with 20 hrs on it, the original owner sunk it and lock up the engine
    I rebuilt and rode it since, I wanted to upgrade along the way but it ran strong so I let it go. Toward the
    end of last season it started running like crap, wouldn't idle in the water and would rev to 4-5k + on
    trailer so I would shut it down quick, I think I have an air leak so i'm pulling the engine to check it out and since it's out..........time to upgrade

    I've collected parts through the years so I have almost everything for the conversion including electrical.

    Engine and electric box are out, changing the 96 std. stop/trim switch to the later verision

    Leak confirmed on the 900 engine, mag seal split/broken and crank mag bearing is noisy,
    checked compression prior to removing engine 140p,135c,130m, cylinders and pistons
    in great condition, looks like I caught it before any damage occurred.

    How much did the rebuilt crank cost you? I have a 1200 that I need to rebuild had a bearing go.
