Thread: 2004 RXP

I have a issue I have been fighting with far a while now. When my RXP was stock with a new 14/19 prop, I could go from idle to wot with no cavitation at all. Worked perfect. Now since I did the x charger with a et 134 wheel, riva intake and free flow exhaust, external ic and i installed a new 15/20 prop and wear ring, when I go from idle to wot now it just sits there because it cavitates so bad. I have to feather into the throttle for it go. It seems fine to pin it to wot from half throttle without issues. It has a new carbon seal and bellow also. What is going on here?? Does my new prop need fine tuning??

What r your max rpms @WOT? May need to be pitched, or get a reflash to bump up the limiter some.

Try putting a couple zip ties around the carbon ring bellow to apply more pressure to the seal .. zip ties go in the rib part of the bellow

I have also thought that it is hitting the rev limiter but it's not hardly moving

Are you on the limiter? If your running stock Ecu and 15/20 you are

I'm with green bullet . My 137+4 in is sitting at 8350 with a 15/22 and 87mm nozzle . Granted the air and water temps are In the 30s it sounds to me you need to step up the prop
