    Turbo-Tastic

Back in August after much discussion with Evan I decided to try a turbo. After the first test fit Evan provided a custom designed up pipe and water box allowing a very well fit turbo system. I am just completing the final mock up stage. Turbo sits low enough to allow the seat to close and far back enough to allow removal of the oil filter cap without removing anything. I/C was relocated up front. The turbo placement allows a rear air set up eliminating the use of Kana flex hose. The quality of the piping, fittings and other related components is extremely high. The turbo is a GTX3071R. A bridge is being installed in the block as well as Carrillo Rods, CP pistons, Wilson sheet metal intake and Motec. Should be fun.

I guess the best answer is, it depends what your after. Have several friends running larger turbo's with no issues. I want to go fast so guess we will have to see how it all works out. If I don't like it I can always change the size. Don't plan on running 40 lbs. 22- 25 is probably more realistic.
