Wanted Dead Oval MFD with intact front panel

I have several oval MFD for which the front panel buttons are quite damaged or the clear plastic face is degraded (or both )

I am looking for some MFD that are internally dead or physically damaged in the body or back.

I do not care whether the decal or the outer bezel face trim surround piece is damaged.

It does not matter if the circuit board is damaged.

It is just the MFD front panel section with clear plastic face and sealed buttons that I am looking for. The fragile ribbon wires for the buttons must also be intact.

My intention is to harvest the clear front panel with buttons from the dead units and try to resurrect the oval MFD internals I have here.

If you have a dead MFD that you are willing to let me have, let me know.

Here is an example of the damage I am trying to replace.

My workshop didn't get to much damage from the fire, I'll check tomorrow and let you know if I have any.

I'm sorry, but any MFD parts I had are gone.

Thanks for the offer but we are ok. You can do me one favor though...check the batteries in your smoke detector.

Even better, during my last renovation all the smoke detectors were upgraded to Kidde Silhouette wired units.

All the detectors are wired together using standard 3 conductor household wiring and being interconnected they all sound when any one triggers.

These are AC powered and each unit also has a built in backup battery. Battery lasts the rated lifespan of the units, then I replace the entire unit.

The low profile design allows them to be unobtrusive and located where they can be most effective. Here is one installed in my house.

Note for any brand or model smoke detector: In addition to replacing the batteries in each smoke detector, check the manufacture date on each unit. Smoke detectors do NOT last forever. The typical rated lifespan is only ten years.

If a smoke detector is ten years or older, do not put another battery in it, just replace the whole thing!

When I was upgrading to the Silhouette system I discovered that several of the existing old-school battery based detectors in the house were over fifteen years old

Excellent advise. when we build our new house we're upgrading to AC powered units with battery backup. There's no doubt that our smoke detectors saved our lives.
