    951 running weird after rebuild

Hi! Just rebuilt my 951 seadoo rx engine with new
pistons and rings, carbs recently cleaned by professionals.

It was running good the first 20 minutes, but then start to missfiring and wanted to die, wont go past 4k rpms. Thought I had to much oil in it (both in gas and with the oilpump) changed gas but no difference.

1 of the sparkplugs where very oily the other looks perfect!

running well on hoose with the new fuel, but still bad in water. Compression is good and even on both cylinders. Had a few drops of (water?) when looking in from the rave valves, normal?

    where to start?

Is this a Carb or DI motor?

I imagine its a carb model judging by he had the carbs rebuilt.

Water on the raves is a problem , shouldn't have any.
You have a gasket leak somewhere.Head or exhaust manifold or head pipe.
Is the bypass(pisser) spitting water and not flowing constant when in the water ?
If it is it would be a head gasket

Yes, but rare .Does it run ok when not on the hose as this will tell you if its water coming in.
usually its the exhaust manifold gasket or the headpipe and water gets sucked back when its scavenging in the exhaust expansion chamber
    As in the diagram

thx, cant get the mainfold off due to some nasty corroded bolts, but
okey, then i have to lift the motor
    out again

    Cant be anything else?

I would go right for the carbs, sounds like you have a needle stuck open. Fix it quickly, you will lose the motor if you play guessing games for two long.

    fuel lines changed?

Ye fuellines all new, maybe check the headgasket? Will check carbs again! But that does not explain the waterdrops?

It would be uncommon to not have water drops.
