    Rideplate mod from "Jim's performance"

Got my Ultra 250X ride plate back from "Jim's Performance" in Florida, and all I can say is that it looks great.
The plate is buffed up and has been changed in certain spots in hopes that we can gain some speed.

Just took my stock plate off so I could set them down side by side.
Testing will be done Monday and Tuesday.

I took a couple of pics so you guys can see the difference from the stock plate.
The underside has also been modified.

    Enjoy,

Good luck with the testing. Hoping you get favorable results and the handling is not compromised. I will be looking out to see what you find.

Did you have a Group K plate? It looks like the same cut they made. Were the front bolt holes milled on the back side also?

Ultra250, I have never seen a ultra 250 plate. The only ultra 250 plate that i have seen is Todds plate that he sent me. So i can not tell you what a Group K plate looks like, The bottom was not just machined in the center rear it also has a certain angle added to it, Which we thought would work the best for the ski. And the top has a certain angle that the mounting bosses have. The front bosses are hardly touched just enough angle to give the plate a true mounting surface, The rear bosses have the most machining and the center ones that bolt to the pump.

    Jim,
I was asking Todd if he had had a Group K plate. It does look/sound like close to the same mods though. There doesnt seem to much else you can do the stock plate ,IMO.

No, I do not have the GroupK plate.

I just sent my extra stock plate to Jim's performance and they did the rest.
I just installed it this morning and it looks great, testing to be done tomorrow.

    Curtis,
Sorry I missed you yesterday, TomgTV and I had a nice ride here in the Lover's Key area (Ft. Myer's Beach)

Estero Bay, Lovers Key great riding!

Thanks Todd the guide! SW FL is very nice and lots of back bay
calm water riding. The "woods" was fun, just like Kississimi River
    minus many of the gators.

In contrast to SE FL, they let you run you ski's up on the beach, NICE!

Red and Blue Ultra's riding together..........nobody came out
to challenge us! Good for them, hate to ruin their day.......!!

Tested for a bit today, all I can say is WOW !!

Gained 2 mph on top end, my ski was GPS'ing at 66.0mph when Tom and I went riding on Saturday.
Put her in the water at noon today with similar temperature conditions, same gas level or very close.

GPS topped out at 68.0 mph
Gas was just below 1/2 tank , 205 lb rider, slight wind and 1-2"chop.
I got a little below that going against the wind and a litlle more going with, averaged then out at 68.0 mph
So there's a 2 mph gain on my ski with the "Jim's Performance" ride plate mod.
I would highly recommend it to those of you who are still using the rough stock ride plate.

I wished I could have made it out. Tom said you guys had a good time. Maybe next time.

Congrats on the 2mph gain from the rideplate. How was the handling? Did it feel any different? Was the wedge installed?

Lastly, can you share the price or PM me the info?

    Curtis
