    05 ecu

    i have an 05 rxp. i know that they say that the 05 ecu is bad for boost but what i want to know is it just a flash that i need or will i need to upgrade to 06+ electronics

    you might need to expand on what you are asking, are you asking about the knock sensor issue in 04?

    vtech does not have many tunes for the old ecus
    but with their flash you can change when and how much the ecu cuts timing and injectors going to 100% DS

    I see that vtech offers more tunes for an 06 model. I just don't know if it matters or if they are physically in compatible with the 05 ecu.

    06 flash won't be compatible with an 05 ecu. I used a Riva ecu on my 05 and it ran great. Finding a used Riva ecu would be a good way to go (with the supporting valve train mods).
