I'd say it needs to be attached to a candoo or a buds and diagnosed. Might have to re-code the keys.

communication problems can sometimes be a red herring. Model and year can be helpful info.

I assume you cannot get the candoo to communicate with the ecu?

you say the problem goes away when you hit the starter button..does the ski start when you do that?

more precise details are important to minimize tail chasing here.

OK its an rxp 2006. The candoo erased all keys then reinstalled I still get one long beep then the 2 short beeps with all keys. It starts n runs and clears. Take the key off n replace n I get one long beep then 2 short beeps. Any ideas. Oh candoo says problem communicating with mpem. ??! Cheers

check the interior of the keys to be sure they are clean, I'd clean the harness connector between the post and main harness.

while rare, you could have two keys with excessive internal resistance. Grab a key from one of your pals and try to program it to confirm/deny my therory
